**Description:**We can’t wait to welcome you to the first evening of our three-Day Garlic Festival.
There is no better way to begin a celebration of the harvest than by gathering around a table, sharing a meal, and honouring the land that nourishes us all season long. And the table itself has a story.
We’ll gather inside a barn built long ago by one of the early members of this community. Rather than see it disappear, we saw the possibility of adding another chapter to its story. With a little chutzpah, faith, and many willing hands, the barn was carefully moved to Whiskey Creek Ranch and repurposed as a place for people to gather, celebrate, share food, and experience the land together. Its weathered timbers carry the marks of another time, but its purpose feels wonderfully refreshed.
Our dinner theme * At the Edge of the Woods * is inspired by the place where we produce the food we share with our community – where fields meet the forests. Where pastures and crops give way to wild abundance. Where cattle graze, chickens cluck, hogs root, bees buzz, and garlic reaches for the sun and also where the wildflowers, trees, and berries flourish. Together, it’s when the harvest season reminds us that every meal is a gift.
The elevated family-style sharing menu – delivered together by the The Black Market Food Co and Whiskey Creek Ranch – celebrates all of these things.
The evening marks the beginning of a weekend dedicated not only to garlic itself, but to food, farming, and community.
